  1. these were wonderful. in my opinion, the best of your podcasts.

Highly appreciate karthi chidambaram's honest and frank views.

I do like his views on reservation and his idea of using the grade of school as an indicator for eliminating creamy layer. I think this one idea that might actually get backing of the government (especially in Tamil Nadu).

  2. This portion of the interview was very animated and I could see an enigmatic personality in Karthi.

I like his idea of supporting kids graduating out of public schools and I am sure this will have the support of the political parties.

Even the X generation do not see an end to the Reservation based on Caste and Religion.

  3. Sathish

Yes.. Karti Chidambaram does seem to have lot of passition for public life / politics..

  4. Ram,

The second part was more interesting than the first one (haven't listened to the third part yet!). You handled the interview well, even though (it appeared) that you weren't agreeing with Karti.

His idea of basing reservations on the kind of schools is a new idea to me and is interesting. However, I am afraid that it would enable people to enroll their kids in such schools just to make use of the reservations. Also, when the reservations are based on the schools, there is no reason to also base it on caste, in my opinion.

The chat about affirmative action was interesting.. my objective was to get his position and challenge him a little bit.. I hope I achieved that..
