Jonathan Schwartz - The only fortune 500 CEO to blog. He is the newly appointed CEO of Sun Microsystems. Mr. Schwartz came up with the idea of giving hardware free and and make money on maintenance. Not sure how that is doing now.
264 – The number of top level domains like .com, .edu, .org, .in, .us, .eu etc.,. All of us know that .com is the most popular one but other TLDs are picking up as well. The recently introduced .eu domain for European Union saw 300,000 registration within the first hour of registration commencement. India’s .in has been around for over a year now and has 150,000 registrations and mine is one of them.
I registered viswanathan.in sometime back and hope to move my blog to that domain by this year. Any ideas?
.in has not caught on. only the Indian government and sun network are using it prominently. In hindsight, it looks like a stupid move. i think .com is much better.

ReplyDeleteGiven some more time, I can visualize more people / companies using .in domain. I know Airtel uses it..
It gives an Indian identity and more importantly most decent domains in .com has already been taken any way..
