I call this innovation... These guys have come up with a new business model to make money through blogs. So what do they do?
They invite readers to anonymously contribute secrets. These secrets can be on anything as long as it true and has been never revealed to anyone.
This blog is wildly popular and financially very successful. It gained prominence last summer when a popular US band All-American Rejects used images from the Web site in its video for the song Dirty Little Secret.
So far, these guys have done an exhibit and even published a book called PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives. When I last checked, this book ranked No. 34 in Amazon.com best sellers list. Now these guys are in to video posts as well.
Not bad for a concept / business model that makes use of free tools and was non existent 14 months back.
