Its election time in Tamil Nadu and all political parties have switched to election mode. So, what is the most pressing issue in this election? Even after a continuous 50+ year run, reservation is the single most important issue this election year as well. Every conceivable caste / religious group is flexing its muscle. All of them, invariably demand reservation for their group / caste / religion in exchange for their political support. If one were to go by the various bloated demands, total reservation would exceed the available seats.
The tentacles of quota regimen has now spread to all spheres of Indian society. From Govt schools & colleges to privates schools, colleges and premier institutions like IITs & IIMS, from public sector to private jobs.
