How dare you kiss in Chennai?

How dare you kiss in Chennai?
Though a little exaggerated, this article starkly brings home the sad truth of politicking that is going on in Chennai in the name of Tamil language and culture.

Unfortunately, there is no significant voice of protest from the majority of the folks in Chennai / Tamil Nadu. Either they are totally indifferent or have been cowed down by the likes of Dr. Ramadoss and Thol. Thirumavalavan.

Even the press seems to be divided on this issue. The English Press, which is considered elitist in India is strongly, opposed all this, but the majority of the Tamil Press seems to be thriving on this as this is yet another opportunity to publish slanderous stuff with little or no research.

In this kind of moral policing, the political leaders and police can really destroy the lives of innocent individuals as had been shown in the recent past.

  1. Its a shame to see these things happen in a 21st Century Democracy, actually hailed as the biggest.!!

Shame on the people who are doing all this.

I wish we have a strong politician who can come out and condemn all these stupid acts.!!
