Madrid is Mad over Spanish victory..
Spain had a solid start in their quest for 2006 world cup with a solid victory over Ukraine. When I got in to a Taxi from the airport, the match had just began and it was visible in the freeways. The Taxi driver commented that the freeways would otherwise be jam packed at that time of the hour but thanks to Foot Ball, we were able to zip past.
By the time, I got to the Hotel, Espana had already scored their first of the 4 goals and everyone was going crazy. After a couple of hours, I took a walk outside the Hotel and found the entire city partying.....
Wait till Espana reach the finals... (that's what my Spanish colleague is saying..)
I have been to Barcelona but not to Madrid. Try to have some paella (which is made different vegetables, meat and rice) while you are there.
